5 Ways first time home buyers can Participate in Earth Day 2023

  1. Head to Memorial Park’s Eastern Glades for an evening of educational activities for kids, and a screening of the nature documentary Deep in the Heart, narrated by Matthew McConaughey.

  2. Bring a plant and exchange it for something you want as part of the Urban Harvest Earth Day Plant Swap at Monsignor Pickard Park Saturday from 9-11am. Don’t forget, the event is free.

  3. Space Center Houston two-day Earth Day Celebration features a wildlife refuge tram tour, pop-up science labs, atmospheric balloon launch and so much more. Plus, you can bring your old computers, printers, tablets, phones, and other electronics to be recycled. Friday & Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm. Event cost is $30

  4. Expect family-friendly performances, live music, art installations, face painting, crafts, and the Water Works Festival at Jones Lawn at Discovery Green on Saturday, April 22 from Noon – 5pm. This event is free for the entire family.

  5. The Earth Day Celebration at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is free this Saturday, April 22 from 10 am – 2 pm. meet local wildland firefighters, park rangers, wildlife rehabilitators, and other conservation professionals at this rain or shine event. Dress appropriately for the weather.
