Mortgage Rates for Friday, August 25, 2023, in a Minute

Good morning, for today, Friday, August 25, 2023, the national average:

  • 30-year fixed mortgage rate is 7.57%

  • 30-year fixed FHA loan rate is  6.71%

  • 30- year fixed VA loan rate is   6.93%

  • 30- year fixed Jumbo rate is    7.58%

If you already own a home and looking to refinance, the current 15-year fixed refinance rate is 6.89% and the 30-year fixed refinance rate is 7.80%.

Meanwhile, the national average adjustable mortgage loan rates for:

  • 5.1 ARM is      6.50%        APR 8.09%

  • 7/1 ARM is      6.78%        APR 8.15%

  • 10/1 ARM is    6.97%        APR 8.11%

Keep in mind, mortgage rates change daily, even hourly, based on market conditions. Don't forget to shop around for your mortgage loan before committing to one.
